Frequency Resolved Measurement of Longitudinal Impedances Using Transient Beam Diagnostics∗
In this paper we present several techniques for characterizing longitudinal impedances based on transient measurements of the growth rates and tune shifts of unstable coupled-bunch modes. These techniques are applicable to measurement of both fundamental and higher-order mode impedances and allow characterization of shunt impedances and quality factors of the HOMs. Methods presented here are co...
متن کاملAnalysis of Transient Flow in the Case of Secondary Injection for Transient Vector Control (RESEARCH NOTE)
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the flow field structure in transient state and performance of secondary injection system for thrust vectoring in divergent section of a two-dimensional nozzle. Secondary injection for thrust vectoring in a two-dimensional nozzle is studied by solving three-dimensional Reynolds-averaged equations by means of fluent solver. Spalart-allmaras model was used ...
متن کاملMethodologies for Continuous Cellular Tower Data Analysis
This paper presents novel methodologies for the analysis of continuous cellular tower data from 215 randomly sampled subjects in a major urban city. We demonstrate the potential of existing community detection methodologies to identify salient locations based on the network generated by tower transitions. The tower groupings from these unsupervised clustering techniques are subsequently validat...
متن کاملVertical and Rocking Impedances for Surface Rigid Foundation Resting on a Transversely Isotropic Half-Space
The vertical and rocking impedances of a rigid foundation resting on a semi-infinite transversely isotropic medium are obtained in the frequency domain. In the present approach, the contact pressure distribution on the soil foundation-interface is approximated by a linear combination of known pressure patterns. It is shown herein that the approximate solutions of spatial displacement distributi...
متن کاملImpedances of Tevatron Separators
The impedances of the Tevatron separators are revisited and are found to be negligibly small in the few hundred MHz region, except for resonances at 22.5 MHz. The latter are contributions from the power cables which may drive head-tail instabilities if the bunch is long enough.
